Spring picture orders are due to be turned in tomorrow morning. If you would like spring pictures please turn in your order to your homeroom teacher first thing in the morning.
Good evening. Top Cards for the third nine weeks is tomorrow. Kindergarten through second grade will be from 12-12:45. Third through sixth grade will start at 1:00pm. If your child is getting an award, they will have brought home an invitation last week. See you tomorrow.
Good evening Hiseville Families. Tomorrow night is our Family Math Night sponsored by the PTO. We have door prizes, family fun with math, and your choice of Pizza, Hotdogs, Chips and drink. Please come out and join us at 5:30 for a Family Fun Math Time.
Hiseville Elementary Open Enrollment is Thursday, March 13th. If you know someone ready to come to Hiseville please let them know to enroll online and come see us March 13, from 12-6. Come join our peeps!
Today we Kick Off Read Across America Week by starting One Book, One School reading "Stuart Little" by E.B. White. Chapter 1 is the reading for families tonight. Send us pictures of your family time.
Also, instead of having a book fair this spring we are going to have a Book Swap. Please see the attached flyer for more information. Students can bring in up to five (5) total gently used books to swap with other students. We will collect this week and have our swap day on Monday, March 10. Each book brought in will be equal to a book they can claim the next Monday. Not required by students but is a fun FREE way to enjoy books we have already read.
Don't forget this week is Read Across America Week. Your child will be coming home with "Stuart Little" to read each night with you for the month of March. We also start dress up days tomorrow. See the picture below for more details.
Today we had 99% attendance. Way to go everyone!!! We will have a reward of Hat Day tomorrow, Thursday 2/27. Students can wear a school appropriate hats tomorrow.
Hiseville families please don't forget to turn in chocolate sales. Each box cost $60. You can send tomorrow to your homeroom teacher and we will get to the PTO.
Also 2nd grade bitty ball and cheer will have their last game tomorrow night. They will get trophies. Game time is 4:30.

Monday and Tuesday are also burgundy and gold days to support our Trojanettes and Trojans as they face off in the district tournament Monday and Tuesday night at BCHS.
Bitty Ball games for tonight have been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date. Please look for a message from your Bitty Ball or Cheer coach about rescheduled date.
Worlds Finest Chocolate sales money needs to be returned this week. If you took a box of chocolate to sell then you need to send the money in this week. Please do not return chocolate that hasn't been sold yet. Each box cost $60. Thank you for your help in making this PTO fundraiser a success.

A permission form for World’s Finest Chocolate was sent home with your child today. Each candy bar is $2 with 30 bars in a case. This is a great opportunity to support our school while offering your friends and family a delicious treat. Sign the permission form and return to school for your child to participate.
Tuesday at Hiseville will be PJ day since our students had 98% attendance last week. Due to the frigid temperatures tomorrow night we have rescheduled our PTO meeting for February 10th. This will be STEAM night so mark your calendars and plan to attend. It will be a WIN for everyone.

Use the link at the beginning of this paragraph to give us input on breakfast, lunch and summer feeding services in addition to letting us know how we can better support the health and wellness of each student and staff member. The survey will close on January 17, 2025. For participating in the survey, all entries will be placed into a drawing for some FABULOUS prizes. Barren County parents who are making an entry for their family, BC students and BC staff members are welcome to complete this survey for a chance to win one of multiple prizes!
Friday, January 10, will be NTI Day 2. We will not have school tomorrow. Please look for information from your classroom teacher for instruction. If you have any difficulties please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher, Mr. DeVore, Mrs. Murphy, or Mrs. Decker. Please stay safe.
School will be back in session on Wednesday, January 8th and will start at normal time. Please take extra precautions with allowing time while driving to school and be sure to wear coats, gloves, etc while waiting for the bus. We can't wait to see our students tomorrow.
