Both Kinley Allen and McKenzie Broady completed the Kentucky FFA SAE (Supervised Agriculture Experience) Grant and both received $500 each. Kinley is going to use her money to add on to her SAE by investing in breeding for her AQHQ mare, while McKenzie is investing in purchasing her own ewes to show next year! This is a highly competitive grant and we are so excited for them both!

Ms. Thompson's Magnet English classes wrapped up their "Taming of the Shrew" by Shakespeare unit by doing group projects, and then presenting them to the class. Everything was seen from modernizing the 16th century play's scenes to be 2024 lingo, acting it out, researching Shakespeare, and art work! They all did a great job!

On Friday, Ms. Amanda Moore's Pre Algebra class presented their projects to parents and staff. Ms. Jordan Voyles, a WKU student in the SKY Teach program, designed and implemented this project with the students. Students were given the assignment of suggesting a new restaurant for our area. Student groups chose their restaurant and used their math skills to present why their restaurant was a good fit for Barren County. #WeareBC

BCMS art teacher, Mrs. Vetter, wants to congratulate BCMS 8th graders Hunter Davis and John Riley Christie, who have artwork selected for the Arts for All Kentucky 2025 Student Traveling Exhibition. Arts for All Kentucky is a non-profit organization that promotes arts education and creative expression for all. The Student Traveling Art Exhibit, “A Matter of Perspective” is an annual exhibit of original artwork created by students with disabilities from across Kentucky. This art exhibit travels to schools, museums, businesses, libraries, and hospitals across the Commonwealth each year. They received a record number of entries this year so Ms. Vetter feels fortunate that we had two pieces chosen! The show premieres at the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children conference November 24, 25, & 26th at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville. We hope to host the exhibit this spring here on campus for the community to enjoy!
